It's that time of year again. Most insurance companies run their policies from January 1 to December 31. This means that massage clinics get increasingly busy towards the end of the year.
Be smart and use your benifits throughout the year, when they can help you to maintain your health better. Book early and be sure you get the therapist you want at the time that workds best for you.
But please remember we do need a minimum of 24 hours notice to cancel an appointment, as often we have many patients waiting for treatment times.
Keep your holiday season free of stress and muscle tension, by letting us help you.
Acupunture is a great way to further augment your massage therapy session, and get you back to feeling the way you should. Here at HTTC, we us an Evidence Based Approach to Acupunture Therapy, and studied through Mc Master University's Medical Acupunture program.
It is just one more way we strive to offer our patients the most effective tretment plan possible.
Let us help you.
How often? How long?
Stretching is done best when it is done to warm muscles. Post exercise, or after a hot bath or shower, you will get better results.
Holding a stretch for 20-30 sec enables the muscle to remember it's new legnth. A longer mor elastic muscle has way more stregnth, than a short, stiff muscle. Equate this to a rubber band....it will always shoot much farther across the room when it can be pulled back more and then let go. As well..the more hydrated your muscle is, the healthier it is, not unlike that dry brittle elastic. You don't want it to snap. On a side note: Did you know that when your achillies tendon snaps or breaks, it sounds like a shotgun going off? Fact.
Stretching should be done always after exercise, and as often as needed daily to maintain or gain a better flexability.
We still have some spots open for Saturday July 30.
What a way to spend a long weekend. Start it right with a massage therapy treatment.
Let your body relax in the experienced hands of one of our RMTs, and get rid of those nasty aches and pains.
And always remember to get Evan to include some of his Indian Head Massage to end the session.
O' Canada...
We're open...10:00 am til 3:00 pm.
By appointment only. Thank you Janet & Donna for giving up your holiday
to fight the good fight against tight muscles and stress.
